I now have a very happy grandson that loves to eat his breakfast! So far, I am VERY happy with this product! Nice, even heating and I can either turn the pancakes individually with a bamboo skewer, or flip the whole pan-full over onto another heated griddle to brown the backs while I make another round of emoji-cakes! This is a fun product!

Cute idea, but way too hard to flip the pancake, especially if you're trying get it back into the same spot you got it from. And to think you need to have 2 pans going at the same to cook the other side after you flip it, is just ridiculous and not worth the effort. It would be much easier if it was double sided and you just flipped the whole pan over to cook the other side. Wouldn't that make more sense?? I try to make pancakes fun for my son, but at this point putting the batter into squeeze bottles and drawing pictures with them is easier than this pan lol. They need to step it up just a bit, and anyone who says it's easy to flip the pancakes is lying.
Our church had a sermon series about handling emotions in a biblically healthy way. The first Sunday of the series, we had a big setup for emoji plancakes and used this pan. It was a big hit! A great conversation piece for adults and families alike.For speed, since we had to make so many, we would pour in batter and let them cook on one side, then flip them all out (at once) on a griddle to cook on the other side, while filling up a new batch in the emoji skillet. It worked great for feeding a large crowd with one pan!
This worked really well. You don’t need two pans as other reviews suggest. Here are some tips for flipping the pancakes easily:-Don’t overfill wells, having too much batter makes it difficult to flip without making a mess-Leave one well open-When it’s time to flip, flip a pancake into the open well next to it. Then repeat with the newly opened well. It should go in a circle and each pancake will have a different face on each side.-A bamboo skewer works really well for flipping-Don’t forget to grease the wells between each setHope this helps!
